“Save it to cherish, or leave it to perish”

ESS project was organized by the students of IBDP year 1, based on the topic ‘CITES convention’ with an aim to spread awareness about preserving and protecting the natural world and prevent illegal hunting of wild animals and endemic species of plants. Many products made out of animal body parts, some of which contain extracts obtained from endangered species were displayed and in contrast, they also displayed some sustainable and alternatives to these items. In their presentation students also explained how to identify illegal wildlife products and unsustainable food products based on their contents. With the medium of this ESS project, the students emphasized putting an end to wildlife crime and illegal trading of animals and plants and also supported the Endangered Species Act.
