Congratulations to SOF AND SFZ Olympiads achievers

  • Agastya Rane of Grade 1 has secured class rank 1 in SZF English Olympiad and has received a gold medal along with a special achievement certificate. He has secured class rank 2 in SZF Informatics and has received a silver medal along with a special achievement certificate.
  • Saranya of Grade1 has secured class rank 1 in SZF Informatics and has received a gold medal along with a special achievement certificate.  Shehas secured class rank 3 in SZF English Olympiad and has received a bronze medal along with a special achievement certificate.
  •  Aadhya Narayanan of Grade 1 has secured class rank 2 in SZF English Olympiad and has received a silver medal along with a special achievement certificate.
  • Hazel D Cruz  of Grade 2 has secured 1st position in SZF English Olympiad in the state and has received a gold medal as well as special achievement certificate for being the Olympiad topper. She has secured class rank 1 in SOF General Knowledge, SOF Math and SOF English Olympiads and has received gold medals. She has secured class rank 1 in SZF Informatics and has received a gold medal along with a special achievement certificate.
  •  Sia Khandelwal  of Grade  2 has secured 1st position in SZF English Olympiad in the state and has received a gold medal as well as special achievement certificate for being the Olympiad topper.
  •  Aadya Shrivastava of Grade 2 has secured class rank 2 in SZF English Olympiad and has received a silver medal along with a special achievement certificate.
  • Zaira Momin  of Grade 2 has secured class rank 3 in SZF English Olympiad and has received a bronze medal along with a special achievement certificate.
  • Anika Chitnis of Grade 3 has secured class rank 1 in SZF English Olympiad and has received a gold medal along with a special achievement certificate.
  •  Nyasha Baradia of Grade 4 has received a medal of distinction along with a distinction certificate in SOF Math Olympiad.
  • Devashri Gunaseelan of Grade 5 has secured 8th International rank in SOF English Olympiad and has received medal and certificate of distinction and gifts worth Rs. 500.

 

IBDP Toppers 2020-2021

Congratulations to our 10th Batch of IB Diploma Students for achieving excellent results in the May 2021 exam series.

 

Shourya Rao, our IB School Topper from the Class of 2021 has secured 44 out of a maximum of 45 points (in percentage terms his score is 98%)

He has received offers from several leading universities in Canada – University of British Columbia, Carleton University, Concordia University, Brock University to name a few and he will be joining Concordia in September 2021.

 

Kajol Dewnani secured the 2nd highest marks from the IB Class of 2021 – getting a total score of 43 out of a maximum of 45 points (in percentage terms her score is 96%)

She has received offers from several leading universities in Canada and will be joining Western University in September 2021.

 

Sadhika Johnson is our joint 3rd IB Topper from the Class of 2021 – getting a total score of 41 out of a maximum of 45 points (in percentage terms her score is 93.67%)

She has received offers from several leading universities in Australia and will be joining the University of Melbourne.

 

Annanya Dhoot is our joint 3rd IB Topper from the Class of 2021 – getting a total score of 41 out of a maximum of 45 points (in percentage terms his score is 92%)

He has received offers from several leading universities in the UK and will be joining the University of Warwick in September 2021.

IBDP Topper Annanya Dhoot gets a scholarship from the University of Warwick

Annanya Dhoot (from our IB Class of 2021) has been awarded a GBP 13,000 scholarship by the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. The admission committee at Warwick was particularly impressed with Annanya’s application and essays.

 

Besides being one of the leading universities in the world, Warwick awards scholarships to a very small number of students (worldwide). Our heartiest congratulations to Annanya and wishing him the very best of luck in his journey ahead at the University of Warwick.

MBIS Alumni Sparsh Dalmia gets placed with JP Morgan Chase

Sparsh Sharad Dalmia, an Alumni of Mainadevi Bajaj International School IGCSE Batch 2015 has completed his Computer Engineering  (B.E.)  in May 2021 with an excellent score of 100 percentile (10 CGPA last semester) with an overall AVG. 9.54/10 CGPA in his tenure of Eight semesters. He is now placed with a prestigious Company JP Morgan Chase & Co. in his Campus Placements by D.J Sanghvi College of Engineering. MBIS family is proud of him and we wish him more success for his bright future.

Aadya Shrivatsava’s MARRS Spelling Bee achievement

Aadya Shrivastava our Grade 2 student has secured 10th rank in Maharashtra in the National Prelims of MARRS International Spelling Bee Junior competition.

MBIS Alumna Dr Trudy Almeida

Dr Trudy Almeida M.B.B.S, an Alumna of Mainadevi Bajaj International School Batch 2011, completed her MBBS from Terna Medical College, Nerul, Navi Mumbai.
She is now working with Rajmata Jijau Hospital, NMMC, Airoli, Navi Mumbai.
She is also preparing for the Postgraduate – Medical Entrance Examination.

Times School Rankings 2021

We are excited to share the Times Of India School Survey 2021 news. The Times Survey 2021 has awarded the 1st rank to Mainadevi Bajaj International School in Zone D for International Curriculum and 5th rank amongst all the Mumbai Schools (International Curriculum). Aadya Shrivatsava Qualifies for MARRS Spelling Bee International Championship

Ayushmaan Goyal of Grade 9 clinched the singles title at the Mumbai Zonal Tournament 2021. Mumbai Zonal Tournament 2021 was held under the auspices of Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association at MSLTA, Mumbai from 24th – 25th December 2021. The events were held in seven categories, which are Men (singles and doubles), Women (singles), Boys and Girls Under 17 (singles) and Boys and Girls Under 14 (singles) categories. The singles winner, runner-up and doubles winner from the Mumbai Zonal Tournament have been selected for Maharashtra State Championship. The winner and runner-up were awarded trophies and certificates. The prizes were given away at the hands of Mr Manoj Vaidya, CEO, MSLTA and Mr Wasim Shaikh, Tournament Supervisor.

Ayushmaan Goyal's Achievement at Thrust to Win

Ayushmaan Goyal of Grade 9 secured the Third Position in Thrust to Win: Burpees Exercise at Panache, an Inter-School Competition. He has to execute as many burpees as he could in a single minute using the correct form and technique.

Ojal Khanvilkar's Achievement at V.V. Bhatt Interschool Dance Competition

Ojal Khanvilkar from Grade 8 secured the 3rd Position in “Dance India Dance” V.V. Bhatt Interschool Competition where she performed a sequence on Indian Classical Dance (Kathak) with a twist of Western Music held on 12th February 2022. Her talent stood out amongst the other participants from the number of schools that participated.

Hazel D Cruz of Grade 2 has brought laurels to the school by securing 1st position in SOF General Knowledge and English Olympiads.

 

Devashri Gunaseelan of Grade 5 has made the school proud by securing the 8th International Rank in SOF English Olympiad. She has won a gift voucher of Rs. 500 along with medal and certificate of distinction.

The First Open State Speed Skating Championship

The First Open State Speed Skating Championship was organised by Team Speed International and Team Speed Roller skating Club on 5th of March 2022 at Dahisar, Mumbai.

International Hindi Debate Competition

Students of grades 7 to 11 participated in the International Hindi Debate competition organised by NPSI on 19th March’ 22. They modelled their linguistic talents through comprehensive discussion on the following topics

Pros and cons of internet and Freedom of speech

The competition served as a platform for the learners  to express their viewpoints and understand and appreciate others perspectives.

Siyona Gupta of Grade 9 secured  3rd place in the debate competition. It was indeed a moment of glory and honor to the School.

Workshop- Wonderful Shapes in Nature

As rightly said by Maggie Macnab, “In geometry, as in nature, the circle is the archetypal shape of wholeness and inclusion.”
An interactive online Zoom session curated by Dr. A P Jayaraman, founder of the STREAM Academy and delivered by Abhishek Arekar (MSc. Biotechnologist) and Kashish Agrawal (Mechanical engineer) on the topic “Wonderful shapes in nature” enlightened the students with the concept of how Fibonacci sequence in Mathematics and structures in Biology infuse to explain the beauty of shapes in nature. It was indeed an insightful session.
