Grade 7 student's Session on Japanese

Learning Crosses Seas

One of the many boons of today’s technologically advanced world is that it has turned the world into one close-knit global community; hence, it is imperative that today’s youth is groomed into being a global citizen by making the most out of this opportunity. In one of such MBIS’s earnest attempts, the students of Grade 8 were given a unique opportunity to interact with Japanese teachers. The introductory session was held on Friday, 7 May 2021 where the students of MBIS taught some words in our national language to these teachers and learnt some Japanese vocabulary from them. Isn’t it incredible how learning is no longer bound to only a certain perimeter?

Karaoke Singing for Grades 3 to 8

“Music enhances the education of our children by helping them to make connections and broadening the depth with which they think and feel.”

An Online Karaoke singing competition was held for students of Grades 3 to 8. Children enjoyed their hearts out and had a fulfilling experience. Winners of the Karaoke competition are as follows:

Hindi Virtual Activity for Grade 7 and 8

“Poetry is a way of taking life by the throat.” – Robert Frost

On 22nd March 2021, our Grade 7 and 8 students, participated in Virtual Hindi Activity: “EKAL ABHIVYAKTI MANCH”.

Grade 7 recited the poems of famous poets and Grade 8 presented the verbal expressions autobiography of their valuable things such as books, pencil, toys and many more.

Hindi Elocution Activity for Grade 6 and 9

The Art of Public Speaking is an act of giving power to words – to influence, inspire and transform lives. This was done for the Hindi Elocution activity at Mainadevi Bajaj International School on Tuesday, 23rd March 2021. This gave the students a good opportunity to overcome their fear of stage fright. Although the competition was held online, the students had to prepare just like they would have in a normal school setting.

Competitions like these allow the student to connect with the audience and also understand the concepts of voice modulation. The practice is very essential before going on stage and the preparation must be a sincere effort.

Although the Grade 6 children recited poetry, the Grade 9 children were given an opportunity to talk on the topic ‘Parivartan’.

Science Exhibition for Secondary Section

The Science quiz for the Primary Section was conducted on Friday, 26th February 2021. The winners of the Grades 2 and 3 quiz were Arnav Malu and Arsh Dalmia. The winners of the Grades 4 and 5 quiz were Kyra Nehete and Jai Gundecha.

Pre Primary Valentine's Day Celebration

Students of Pre Primary celebrated Valentine’s day on Friday, 12th February 2021. The day was celebrated by expressing their love for their parents with hand made activities.

Grade 8 & 9 English Elocution Competition

One of the significant goals of an educational institution is to nurture young minds and groom them into becoming a conscious and vigilant citizen. To achieve this goal, MBIS organized an elocution competition on 29 January 2021 for the students of grades 8 and 9 which required them to research and present their views on topics ranging from sports and friendships to UN sustainable goals and media ethics. The intent was to encourage critical and analytical thinking alongside employing persuasive tools.

Grade 7 Humanities Activity

Role plays on the First War of Independence of 1857

It is important that our budding children are fostered with the right kind of soil and water. Keeping this in mind, students of Grade 7 were encouraged to perform role plays on the First War of Independence of 1857. The passion, love and zeal of the great warriors of India were recreated by the students.

Grade 1 Newspaper Activity

“A good newspaper is a nation talking to itself.”
Students of Grade 1 are learning about communication. They designed beautiful newspapers by giving it a name, pasting their favourite articles, catchy headlines, advertisements with illustrations and kids corner( puzzle, word search, riddle) from new and old newspapers.

IBDP CAS Activity ``Zero Hunger``

As a part of their Creativity, Activity and Service component, IBDP students of MBIS collected donations of food for the Mumbai Roti Bank on the 27th and 28th of January. It was heartening to see that the response was quite enthusiastic despite the lockdown.

Republic Day Celebration (Pre-Primary)

Students of pre-primary celebrated Republic Day from 23rd – 25th January 2021 virtually. They made tiger masks and Jr. KG. students made a tricolour rocket and were taken on a virtual trip to a farm. Sr. KG. students learnt about the national symbols of India. A video on Republic Day was shown to them and they were taken on a virtual trip to a chocolate factory.

MISA SYNERGY 2020-21 Result

MBIS is proud to announce that these students of Grade 4 – Prithvee Prashant, Anaaya Nayak, Devishri Gunaseelan and Pulkit Naik have won in the category- Best Applicability and Cost Effectiveness for the topic ‘Technology to serve health needs in a cost-efficient way and enhance outcomes ‘ in MISA SYNERGY 2020-21, a Science educational event for Cambridge schools. Our project ‘Bed on Go’ was an app-based model where one could locate a vacant bed in the hospital nearest to them.

Pre-Primary Makar Sankranti Celebration

Students of Pre-primary section celebrated Makar Sankranti on Wednesday, 13th January 2021, Students were dressed in their traditional attire. Nursery and Jr. KG. students made kites, Sr. KG. made a beautiful card by drawing warli figures and sticking 3D kites.

Grade 2 - AOI Activity

It is truly said that if there is magic on this planet then it is in water. On Friday 8th Jan 2021, students of Grade 2 did an activity on the water cycle and learned the importance of conserving this valuable resource.

National Mathematics Day

On 22nd December 2020, Primary and secondary section celebrated National Mathematics Day. Grades 1-5 showed a video on Srinivasa Ramanujan and played Kahoot games with students. Grades 6&7 played Scavenger Hunt and Think math Activity.

Grade 7 Hindi Recipe Writing Activity

“The most treasured things passed down from generation to generation are the family recipes.” At MBIS, the students of Grade 7 learn the recipe writing in the Hindi language. During their Christmas vacations, they experienced it by doing this on their own.

Nursery Activity - Community Helpers

Little Chefs at work…Our cute little Nursery Learners were thrilled making and eating yummilicious bhel as they learnt about Chef and Baker in their Area of Inquiry-based on Community Helpers on Friday, 18th December 2020.

Nursery The Lion And The Mouse Activity

Nursery students enjoyed the narration of the story ” The Lion And The Mouse” on Tuesday, 15th December 2020 through puppets. They enjoyed various actions like sleeping, jumping, laughing, hugging and many more related to the story and made good effort to retell the story in their own words followed by an activity.
